About me
I got my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at Peking University in 2016, and Ph.D. degree in Computer Application Technology in 2021. I was trained at the
Video Coding Laboratory , Peking University, under the supervision of Prof.
Siwei Ma and
Wen Gao. My main research focus lies in visual content generation and manipulation, especially on human pose/motion transfer, face reenactment, and image-to-image translation. Also, I'm always fascinated about the idea of using generative methods for solving low-level vision problems, such as image restoration, enhancement, and even smart conceptual coding.
In 2020, I joined Alibaba DAMO Academy as a research intern, where I was in charge of the algorithm development of the "still2motion" project for
Alibabawood , a smart promotion video creation platform for online retailers. Also, I had actively participated in face restoration project, where my proposed
"HiFaceGAN" model had achieved SOTA over five subtasks against existing academic methods. I was awarded as the most valuable research intern of year 2020 for my contributions. I now work as an algorithm enginner at Tencent GY-Lab.
Overall, I consider myself as a quite prolific academic writer. In 2020 I have authored/co-authored 8 papers (5 first author) on top-notch conferences/journals in CV and multimedia, including IEEE TIP, TPAMI, CVPR, ACM MM and ICME. Yet my best paper is always the next one. Besides academic research, I'm also keen on sharing the knowledge and recent technological advances with the community with github open-source projects, invited seminar talks and non-profitable subtitling services.
